Emily Cai is graduating with a degree in Accounting. Her involvement on campus includes being a Resident Advisor and Student Ambassador. Emily will be attending graduate school at USC through KPMG's Master in Accounting with Data and Analytics scholarship program in fall 2021. After graduation, she will begin her career as a tax associate at KPMG's San Francisco office.

My parents and friends! To my parents, thank you for your endless sacrifices and unconditional love and support while I navigated through college. To my friends, thank you for always cheering me on, hyping me up, and having my back. I am eternally grateful for having you all by my side through each milestone.

Favorite Saint Mary's Memory

I absolutely loved my Jan term class, Asian American Voices in Public History. I loved exploring all over the Bay Area going to places like Angel Island and the Oakland Museum while learning about Asian-American history. It was so much fun getting to work with community partners at the Chinese Historical Society of America and eating delicious foods with my friends and classmates.

My Next Chapter

I will be attending USC for a Master's in Business Taxation with an emphasis in Data and Analytics in the Fall.

Christopher Harris was born in Roseville, California. At Saint Mary’s, he majored in Politics with a minor in History, developing a passion for foreign affairs. After interning on Capitol Hill, he narrowed that passion to counterterrorism and national security. Upon graduation, he plans to work for the federal government in Washington, D.C., as a counterterrorism intelligence officer.

My greatest supporters were my mom Dianne, my sister Caitlin, and my cousins Evan and Erin. I love you all and couldn't have done this without you! I also want to thank Andy, Patrick, Sophia, Madi, and Philip for always being there to help. And of course, I couldn't have done this last year without my wonderful girlfriend Ivett.

Favorite Saint Mary's Memory

My favorite memory was learning from Secretary of Defense and CIA Director Leon Panetta at his Institute for Public Policy. Hearing stories of his time in Congress, the OMB, the White House, CIA, and the DoD are all stories and lessons I will never forget. Our subsequent internship in D.C. during President Trump's first impeachment trial was also an experience I will never forget.

My Next Chapter

I have developed a passion for counterterrorism and national security, and I will be seeking positions in the Intelligence Community upon graduation. My dream job is to work at the White House on the National Security Council advising the President about terrorism and great power competition. Ultimately, I want to save lives and protect the country that has given me so much.

I have so many amazing memories from Saint Mary’s especially all the late night study sessions spent with my close friends Rylee, Morty, Kara, and Piper. I loved ordering Golden Palace and Boba and staying in Dante Hall until 2 am. I am so grateful for the amazing people I have met here.

I am looking forward to taking a year off , coming back to play my final season of soccer at Saint Mary’s, and then applying to medical school.

My greatest support comes from my family. My mom has always inspired me to believe in myself, knowing that she is in my corner has helped me take risks and achieve things that I never thought were possible. Because of my family, my grandparents, parents, and siblings, I always have a home to come back to and people who will support my dreams. My SMC family has also made a tremendous difference.

Favorite Saint Mary's Memory

I will always cherish the moments that I spent this year with my teammates on the Cross Country and Track team. I was lucky enough to run with an amazing group of women who were resilient, stubborn, and gracious in the face of adversity. As an outgoing senior, I am so proud to have been a part of what we created out of all the challenges we faced this year.

My Next Chapter

This fall semester, I will begin my studies at the University of Oregon School of Law. I will be pursuing a concurrent degree in International Law and Nonprofit Management. I will be living in Eugene, Oregon, so I am moving away from the California sun for the first time! My work will be focused on human rights, and I hope to foster a career in making the world a more equitable place for us all.

After graduation, she plans on pursuing performance, choreography, teaching, and research positions.

My greatest supporters have been my friends, and my classmates always willing to lend a hand when I need it. My family has been integral in my time here, in their support and love. Finally, many of my professors have been my ultimate supporters, pushing me to be my best self, while supporting me in all that I do.

Favorite Saint Mary's Memory

My favorite Saint Mary's memory has been all of the shows with the dance company. I really enjoy the camaraderie backstage, as we warm-up and prepare for the show, all the times we dance together, and all the fun times we share in the days leading up to the show. Saint Mary's Dance Company welcomed me in, and has become my family. I love performing on stage and supporting my friends.

My Next Chapter

I am planning on staying in the Bay Area and searching for dance company and biochemistry research positions. After a few years, I plan on working on either a PhD in biochemistry and/or a MFA in dance. From there I plan to become a professor in one of those areas.

Annaliese helped plan the English colloquium "Re-Imagining the Narrative: Centering BIPOC Voices in Literature" and wrote for the Office of College Communications. She hopes to pursue an advanced degree in Comparative Literature.

Favorite Saint Mary's Memory

Traveling to Cuernavaca, Mexico for Jan Term 2020! Not only did I have an amazing time immersing myself in the many cultures of Mexico and eating delicious food, but I learned about Mexico’s rich history, and discovered more about my identity and place in the world as a Mexican American. It’s an experience that I’ll always look back on and continue to learn from!

My Next Chapter

I’m looking forward to taking some much needed time off to focus on myself and work before pursuing an advanced degree! Wherever I go beyond Saint Mary’s, I hope to always create community and continue my commitment to being a lifelong learner.

Hanging out in the IC for PRIDE meetings and staying until 9 or 10pm after each general body meeting just shooting the shit with everyone :), late nights at Oliver, and hanging out in the CWGE with my friends Mayson and Chloe (they're the best)

Post-graduation I plan to take a gap year then pursue with a Master's degree is Gender Studies or a Juris-Doctorate focusing on civil rights law.
