My favorite SMC memory is being a part of the SMC Dance Company concerts. The constant energy, excitement, support, and love that is in the theater during show week is incredible and I am very lucky I was able to be a part of that.

My Next Chapter

I plan to continue working as a Physical Therapy Aide at Tice Valley Physical Therapy while preparing to move to New York City next year to pursue a career in professional dance.

My greatest supporters during my experience at SMC were my family, my dance family, my study group, and my assumption squad. They have supported me through everything!

Favorite Saint Mary's Memory

My favorite memory would have to be all the nights my assumption friends hiked up to the cross to listen to music and sing at the top of our lungs. I also cannot forgot all the long nights that my study group would spend in Dante doing homework and preparing for our tests. What got us through those long nights had to be chipotle, golden palace, Starbucks, boba.

My Next Chapter

I am planning on finding a job in medicine, health care, or research to further my knowledge of Biology. I will hopefully go to grad school or attend PA school in the future. I want to also continue my passion for dance and will hope to continue dancing alongside my future job.

I have so many amazing memories from the last 4 years. One of them is all of the dance performances I've had the honor to be a part of. It's always so fun to warm up with my fellow dancers and teachers, Moulin Rouge, getting pumped up in the dressing room, and of course performing on stage in LeFevre Theatre!

My Next Chapter

I'm excited to start the next chapter of my life! I am planning on working in the communication field including public relations, HR, and event planning.

Too many to name! Getting to dance with an amazing company, travel the world, go on countless adventures, and meet some of my best friends are only a few of the many memories Saint Mary's has given me.

My Next Chapter

I will be continuing on to earn an MFA in Dance: Creative Practice at Saint Mary's. I will be teaching and performing in the Bay Area, and looking forward to traveling once the world is open again. I am looking forward to the next chapter and all of the new experiences ahead!

Alyssa Plummer is a Biochemistry and Dance double major from Sunnyvale, California. While attending Saint Mary's, Alyssa has been an active member of the Honors Program, Phi Kappa Phi, Dance Company, and WISE. One could often find Alyssa in a dance studio or researching in the lab. After graduation, she plans on pursuing performance, choreography, teaching, and research positions.

My Greatest Supporters

My greatest supporters have been my friends, and my classmates always willing to lend a hand when I need it. My family has been integral in my time here, in their support and love. Finally, many of my professors have been my ultimate supporters, pushing me to be my best self, while supporting me in all that I do.

Favorite Saint Mary's Memory

My favorite Saint Mary's memory has been all of the shows with the dance company. I really enjoy the camaraderie backstage, as we warm-up and prepare for the show, all the times we dance together, and all the fun times we share in the days leading up to the show. Saint Mary's Dance Company welcomed me in, and has become my family. I love performing on stage and supporting my friends.

My Next Chapter

I am planning on staying in the Bay Area and searching for dance company and biochemistry research positions. After a few years, I plan on working on either a PhD in biochemistry and/or a MFA in dance. From there I plan to become a professor in one of those areas.
