My Greatest Supporters

Thank you to my parents for their endless love and support throughout my time at SMC, and giving me the opportunity to go to SMC. Thank you to my older sister, Esperanza, for being my anchor and always encouraging me.Thank you Jen Herzog, Shelby Perez Daniel McCarthy, and the rest of the NSFP family for believing in me and pushing me through my leadership experience at SMC.

Favorite Saint Mary's Memory

Applying to be a Weekend of Welcome leader (WoWie) at the end of my first year at SMC was the best decision I made. Being involved is what made my experience at Saint Mary's what it was. Being a WoWie not only led me all of my closest friends, but also opened the Saint Mary's leadership path for me. I then had the opportunity to become a Saint Mary's Orientation, which I did for two years.

My Next Chapter

I will be living in Huntington Beach, CA after I graduate, living and spending time with my family as I prepare for my future. I hope to travel and soak in the summer. I also plan to work at my part-time retail job as I look for the perfect marketing position with a company I am passionate about.

She served for two years as the captain of the women's cross country and track team.

My Greatest Supporters

My greatest support comes from my family. My mom has always inspired me to believe in myself, knowing that she is in my corner has helped me take risks and achieve things that I never thought were possible. Because of my family, my grandparents, parents, and siblings, I always have a home to come back to and people who will support my dreams. My SMC family has also made a tremendous difference.

Favorite Saint Mary's Memory

I will always cherish the moments that I spent this year with my teammates on the Cross Country and Track team. I was lucky enough to run with an amazing group of women who were resilient, stubborn, and gracious in the face of adversity. As an outgoing senior, I am so proud to have been a part of what we created out of all the challenges we faced this year.

My Next Chapter

This fall semester, I will begin my studies at the University of Oregon School of Law. I will be pursuing a concurrent degree in International Law and Nonprofit Management. I will be living in Eugene, Oregon, so I am moving away from the California sun for the first time! My work will be focused on human rights, and I hope to foster a career in making the world a more equitable place for us all.
